Briggs encourages Lothian charities and community organisations to apply for support from Aviva Community Fund.

Miles Briggs, Scottish Conservative & Unionist MSP for Lothian, is encouraging Lothian charities and community organisations to apply for funding from this year’s Aviva Community Fund which is now open for applications until October 10th. After that date the public are able to have a vote on which causes they want to see go forward as finalists for consideration by judges. Grants from £1,000 up to £25,000 are available for projects which change lives for the better within their community. Last year a number of Lothian good causes benefitted including Stockbridge based charity LifeCare Edinburgh, Friends of Stockbridge School and Midlothian Community Media Association.

Speaking today Miles said:

“ Aviva’s Community Fund is a valuable source of funding for local voluntary and community organisations that has benefited many Lothian good causes over the last few years.

“ I hope many local groups across Edinburgh and Lothian will consider applying for support from fund before the close of application on 10th October.”
