Less than Half of Trains Arrive at Bathgate Station on Time

News Release from Miles Briggs MSP:

Less than Half of Trains Arrive at Bathgate Station on Time

New figures, from November 2017 to February 2018, reveal that Bathgate train station is the 12th worst out of 79 train stations in Scotland for trains arriving on time. Less than half of trains, only 48.0%, arrived at Bathgate station on time between November 2017 and February 2018. Bathgate station was also the 8th worst out 79 train stations for trains terminating at this station on time with only 40.3% arriving on time.  Lothian MSP Miles Briggs considers the number of delays to be more than what can be expected as reasonable and the Scottish Conservatives are raising the issue with the Transport Minister Humza Yousaf.

Lothian MSP Miles Briggs comments:

“Bathgate train station is vital for West Lothian residents who commute to either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

“It is unacceptable that less than half of trains arrive at Bathgate station on time.

“The Transport Minister needs to work with Scot Rail to ensure a smoother service that doesn’t disrupt peoples travel plans.”
